For when writers on a show waste potential for a storyline?
I shouldn’t be so upset over this baby storyline as I am—but I had hoped that it would have been dropped.
If they made a point that her character is gay, why don’t they use it? Would it have killed the writers to show the fertility process with Shay and her female partner? I swear, Rizzoli and Isles has more gay context and they aren’t even gay (allegedly).
Oh good, Shay and Severide are having cute moments about having a baby together. A+ lesbian representation Chicago Fire, great job #sarcasm
I am starting to think no one on Chicago Fire knows what a.) a lesbian is, and b.) what single mother means.
If I were just tuning into the show, knowing nothing about the characters, I would assume that Shay and Severide were a couple with fertility problems. Because that’s what it looks like. Wouldn’t know Shay is gay.
But, like, 4 months early. It was nice to see Chicago Fire make a cameo on the show.
And…I am a little upset that the whole Mills/Dawson relationship was so predictable. Did Mills have to break up with Dawson? No. I liked them together. Mills could have explained to Dawson that he had a lot going on in his mind, and I am sure she would have been more than understanding. I just don’t get it like I don’t get the Shay baby storyline… Does she want to be a single mother? Or start a family with Severide?
I am so confused.
They won’t touch it :(
I feel your pain. My now deceased budgie was the pickiest eater ever, like he knew when you changed bird-seed brand picky.
I pretty much went the tough love approach with him and fruit. I would cut up apple slices and mix it with his bird seed (that didn’t work), and then I put it next to his lettuce (which he loved) and that kind of intrigued him. And then, I would give him some of my fruit to try from my hand. It was a long process.
In the end, he was more of a lettuce/kale guy, which was better than nothing…but he did come around and if I was eating a peach, he would jump and walk all over it while eating some of it.
Just patience, mostly.
Did anyone else get the feeling that the girl, Charlotte, might be Dawson’s daughter??? I mean the way that she was looking at her just made me think. Idk I might just be reading into it too much.
I don’t think she is Boden’s daughter. I think the purpose of her was to show the good and bad of his job. The bad: not saving a life (the fiancee) and the good: saving a life (Charlotte). If Boden had not found her, she would not have lived 12 years.
That’s what I think anyway. Boden needed to see that — and that is why he was happy. To see that she had a good life.
